West Sacramento-based grocer Raley's said Tuesday that store customers and employees raised $74,220 for the Oklahoma Tornado Relief Fund, established to help tornado victims devastated by late spring storms.

Checks for more than $37,000 have been presented to the respective regional chapters of the American Red Cross and Salvation Army, which will distribute funds for the Oklahoma relief effort.

Raley's said the funds were raised in just four weeks through the company's Food For Families collection boxes.
