Re "Carnage in Egypt; protesters routed" (Page A1, Aug. 15): The news from Egypt is frightening. What is more frightening is the fact that there is no reaction of horror at the actions of the Muslim Brotherhood.
These are the colleagues of the deposed President Mohammed Morsi. Using the current chaos they have chosen to harshly attack the Coptic Christian community. They blame Copts for all the ills of Egypt. It is violent religious bigotry. The Muslim Brotherhood is showing its true colors.
Removing them from power was a step in the right direction. The big question is, where will Egypt go from here? Will Morsi and his thugs only be replaced by another group of thugs or will Egypt truly move towards a truly free society as envisioned by the supporters of the "Arab Spring?"
