Major league sports must free themselves of players who take performance enhancing drugs.
How? All professional sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, USSF, etc.) should adopt policies that if any player is caught having used a PED that the team forfeits all wins for which that player participated. Peer-to-peer pressure amongst teammates would force the removal of PEDs from team sports.
After all, which player would want the shame of getting caught using a PED, and forcing his/her team to forfeit all wins for which the player participated? Peer pressure is very powerful. Who remembers the pressures in school to drink alcohol or engage in activities for which you were under age?
So, take action sports leagues and adopt new PED forfeit win policies. The NCAA penalizes colleges by forfeiting wins for rules violations. The time is now for the professionals to do the same.
