Sacramento-based Sutter Health placed three facilities on Modern Healthcare journal’s 2013 top-100 “Best Places to Work” in health care list.

Sutter Medical Foundation, Sutter Davis Hospital and the Sutter Center for Psychiatry in Sacramento made this year’s list – accounting for three of the five California-based workplaces making the grade.

Sutter Davis made the list for a fifth consecutive year.

“It takes great vision, dedication and heart to build a collaborative work culture that keeps patients at the center of everything we do,” said James Conforti, president of the Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Region.

The top-100 list recognizes U.S. health care workplaces that foster employee excellence, quality care and top-level products and services. Rankings, derived primarily from surveys obtained from randomly selected employees, measure factors that include work culture, training, benefits and overall satisfaction.

Established in 1976, Chicago-based Modern Healthcare covers the U.S. health care industry, periodically publishing multiple statistical rankings closely watched by the industry.
