Telestream, the Nevada City-based producer of high-tech digital video tools and systems, said it has completed the acquisition of captioning software company CPC.
Officials said CPC, started in 1986, has relocated from its Rockville, Md., headquarters to Telestream's East Coast office in Sterling, Va. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
CPC offers closed captioning software internationally. In 2012, CPC received the Accessibility Award at the National Association of the Deaf Conference.
Telestream said the acquisition will benefit its long-term product strategies, including work flow automation, live streaming and Web publishing products.
