Re "New player emerges in area politics" (Marcos Breton, Aug. 21): "Their's [local builders] is a voice badly needed in a region where business interests were too often ignored." Perhaps Breton is watching too many ball games as his view of politics is naive at best.
In the real world business interests routinely "pay to play," filling the campaign coffers of public officials. Maybe his next column can make a case for the world being flat.
