Highlight: Michael Taylor's three-run home run to center field with two outs in the eighth inning provided the winning margin as the River Cats salvaged a split with a 4-1 win in Game 2 of their doubleheader with the Sky Sox in Colorado Springs, Colo. It was Taylor's 17th homer of the season.

Comeback all for nothing: Shane Peterson's single scored Jemile Weeks with the tying run in the top of the seventh – and final inning – of the first game, but the Sky Sox rallied for one run in the bottom half and won 5-4.

All for one: Five River Cats pitchers combined to three-hit the Sky Sox in the nightcap. Kyler Newby picked up the win with one perfect inning. Brian Gordon earned his 20th save of the season.

Today: River Cats LHP Andrew Werner (11-13, 5.98 ERA) at Colorado Springs RHP Sean Gallagher (1-2, 4.55), 5:05 p.m., Security Service Field, Colorado Springs, Colo.
