Re "Change recalled before slaying" (Page A6, Aug. 23): Where's the outrage from Black America over the fatal shooting in Oklahoma of a young Australian collegiate baseball player "out of boredom"? Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton couldn't restrain themselves during the trial of George Zimmerman for the death of Trayvon Martin in Florida.
Suddenly, the cat's got their tongue when the role is reversed. Jackson tweeted on Wednesday, "Praying for the family of Chris Lane. This senseless violence is frowned upon and the justice system must prevail."
Shame on them and others like them in our double-standard country.
