Re "Bee's arena stories: Fair?" (Joyce Terhaar, Forum, Aug. 25): The arena opposition (i.e. STOP) has gotten off too easy. This small group of people, backed by Seattle's Chris Hansen and others who tried to take our team, have falsely claimed that taxes would increase, and even wore Kings shirts at their signature drives to deceive people into signing petitions under the idea they were helping to keep the Kings and build an arena.
Then they claim this is about democracy. That is some real phony democracy when they have to trick people into signing against what they really wanted. There is widely circulated video and photo evidence of their lies.
There are often two sides to every story. But when one (the anti-arena side) continuously digs themselves a deeper hole with lies and hiding of information from the public, they need to be accurately reported as frauds.
