Sacramento nano brewery lauches Kickstarter campaign

Device Brewing Co., which bills itself as Sacramento’s first nano brewery, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help it expand and purchase equipment and other supplies.

Started in April by Northern California natives Ken and Melissa Anthony, Device Brewing has so far been self-funded, using a four-vessel, one-barrel, open-top brewing system, producing 31 gallons of beer per brewing session. The company wants to upgrade to a three-barrel, 93-gallon system.

Device Brewing, at 8166 14th Ave., plans to open a tasting room in October.

The company is hoping to raise $24,500 in 35 days to meet its goals. Donation options range from a $10 pledge to a $2,500 commitment.

Donors can contribute and get more information on the company’s Kickstarter campaign at www.devicebrewing.com.
