Re "U.S. weighs limited airstrike on Syria" (Page A1, Aug. 27): I am no fan of war, but do believe there is a time to put up or shut up.
The president drew a line in the sand a year ago. Syria crossed that line and the United States has done nothing. Now, his administration is talking of a airstrike. Talk about telegraphing a punch. Here we come President Bashar Assad, we might do something, now don't you go and move your weapons around.
President Barack Obama, either do something or shut up. And if you decide to do something, don't tell anybody but those responsible for carrying out the orders.
