Kings sign undrafted rookie guard Lockett

The Kings have signed undrafted rookie guard Trent Lockett to a contract, team general manager Pete D'Alessandro announced in a press release Wednesday afternoon.

Terms of the contract were undisclosed.

Lockett is a 6-foot-5, 210-pound guard out of Marquette. He played on the Kings' summer league team in Las Vegas, where he averaged 7.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists five games.

Lockett averaged 7.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists during his senior season at Marquette, where he transferred from Arizona State. During his freshman season in Tempe, Ariz., Lockett was named to the Pac-10 Conference All-Freshman team.
