Yasmin Schnack of Elk Grove and Eric Roberson of Sacramento will face Slovakia's Janette Husarova and Filip Polasek in the first round of mixed doubles at the U.S. Open this week.
The day and time of the match hasn't been determined.
Schnack and Roberson defeated Stephanie Wetmore and Matthew Brooklyn 6-1, 6-4 Saturday to win the mixed doubles title at the U.S. Open National Playoffs in New Haven, Conn., and earn an automatic berth in the U.S. Open mixed doubles main draw.
Schnack, 25, will make her second appearance in the main draw, and Roberson, 27, will make his first.
Schnack, who played at UCLA before graduating in 2010, played for the Capitals in 2012. She and Vania King, another former Capitals player, lost in the first round of women's doubles at Wimbledon last year.
