A training series titled Boomer Ed 101 will be offered for seniors in El Dorado County this month.
Sponsored by the El Dorado County Commission on Aging in collaboration with the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency, the training is intended for people born between 1948 and 1953. It will focus on several key topics such as Medicare, Social Security and veterans' issues.
Guest speakers will include representatives from the Social Security Administration, the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program, and El Dorado County's Veterans Service offices.
Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16, 23 and 30 at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane, El Dorado Hills.
A donation of $15 per person, or $20 per couple, is requested for the class series.
