Our region renders a constant stream of wine and beer-inspired events. So leave no friend behind when considering one of the following tasting experiences to ensure your calendar will be as full as your glass.

Lodi Road Trip

Gain access to more than 45 Lodi wineries with a purchase of a Lodi Road Trip Passport as part of California Wine Month. The passport is your gateway to vineyard tours, barrel tastings, bottling demonstrations, grape stomps, wine and cheese pairing classes, winemaker dinners, and more.

Murphys Food and Wine Walking Tour

Gourmet on ''K'' Culinary Walking Tour

Sacramento River Train

Wine Tasting and Tour

Nevada City Uncorked

The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce and Sierra Vintners will showcase nearly 20 wineries and restaurants in the second annual event held on Spring, Pine, Broad and Commercial streets. 1-4:30 p.m. Sept. 14. $35 advance, $45 day of event.

Top of Folsom

A benefit for the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary and the Folsom Historic District, with some 20 artists, 20 wineries and 15 chefs from the Northern California region, entertainment and live music. 7 p.m. Sept. 14, Folsom. $85 advance, $90 at the door. For more information: (916) 985-7452;

Sacramento Burger Battle 2013

Local restaurants cook up their best burgers in a cookoff to benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Attendees can taste sample-sized burgers from the restaurants and vote for the "People's Choice" burger favorite. There will be live music, prize drawings, craft beers and local wines. 6 p.m. Sept. 18.; Raley Field, 400 Ballpark Drive, West Sacramento. $55.

Lodi Grape Festival and Harvest Fair

Brewers Festival
