When the Los Angeles Dodgers visit AT&T Park in three weeks for the final time in 2013, Giants fans will face one of the more important questions of this lost season: How will they treat former Giants closer/sideshow Brian Wilson?

Wilson was an indispensable part of the team's 2010 World Series championship, a high-wire act with dominating stuff, a penchant for close shaves – if one doesn't count his face – and a bona fide hero.

Then his arm went bad, his contract ran out and the Giants didn't re-sign him. Then, after surgery on his pitching arm and rehab, he signed with the Dodgers.

Wilson claims no ill will toward the Giants for not offering him a contract after his surgery, but you can believe he wants to strike out every player wearing orange and black. And if he does it with such a reviled team, how might that feel for fans who built a fairly sturdy pedestal for him and his feared beard?

To boo or not to boo?

Giants fans embrace pretty much anyone who ever wore SF on his cap. The guess is that Wilson gets an ovation the first time he is introduced at AT&T Park and then is put on the pay-no-mind list.

On the other hand, Giants fans might see nothing but that sassy blue uniform and a pile of boot-black whiskers and let the dude have it.

Either way, it will be fun to watch.

What to do, watch
