Re "Man-made global warming linked to much of 2012's wildest weather" (Page A12, Sept. 6): The earth's temperature has not warmed for more than 15 years, and "scientists" are retooling their decades-old models to try to make them accommodate this "pause" while still predicting longer term warming.
Moreover, the last few years have seen far fewer hurricanes and mega-storms and set far fewer temperature records than in decades. Despite this, "scientists" -- bought and paid for with the billions "invested" in climate research over the last two decades -- are claiming that their models can show that climate change accounts for about half of last year's extreme weather events. Eventually, these buffoons are going to have to give up and acknowledge that their models don't work. In the meantime, let's not waste even more money on the phony science of climate change.
