Colts quarterback Andrew Luck vs. the Raiders' secondary
After being picked No. 1 in the 2012 draft and replacing the legendary Peyton Manning, Luck passed for 4,374 yards and 23 touchdowns in leading the Colts to a surprising 11-5 record. Look for him to go to his favorite target, veteran Reggie Wayne, and former Raiders wideout Darrius Heyward-Bey. If the Raiders can't keep the Colts' passing game in check, things could get out of hand in a hurry.
THREE KEYS TO GAME
Who will start at quarterback for the Raiders? Everyone assumes it will be Terrelle Pryor, because he's more mobile than Matt Flynn and has a better chance of avoiding sacks and scrambling to keep plays alive. But he's only started one NFL game and wasn't overwhelming in the preseason. If he doesn't make any mistakes, the Raiders might might have a chance.
No matter who starts or who finishes at QB, the Raiders won't be able to beat the Colts without a big game from running back Darren McFadden. Look for offensive coordinator Greg Olson to mix things up, lining McFadden up as a receiver and putting him in motion out of the backfield. And the Raiders are 10-2 in games in which McFadden has rushed for 100 yards or more.
After finishing 18th in total defense last season, the Raiders have revamped their defense with nine new starters. With so many new faces, has this unit had time to develop some chemistry?
