Residents and businesses near Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights had no power for nearly an hour Monday night.
The outage began at 8:41 p.m., according to Robert Tokunaga, spokesman for SMUD, and impacted 919 residences. Power was restored at 9:31 p.m.
The cause was a problem with an underground power cable near San Stefano Street and San Simeon Drive.
The outage was one of six experienced by SMUD Monday, affecting 2,337 customers.
