Warm, clear conditions set for Sacramento-area weekend, beyond

The National Weather Service is predicting warm temperatures and sunny skies for Sacramento this weekend.

Today's high temperature will hover around 92 degrees, with a slight breeze from the southwest. Overnight lows will dip to 60 degrees. For Sunday, the high is predicted at 86 degrees.

"Looks like it's going to be a fabulous weekend," weather service forecaster Cindy Matthews said. "This is typical for this time of year."

Here's the seven day forecast:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 92. Southwest wind around 7 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 60. South wind 8-10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 86. South-southwest wind around 11 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. South wind 9-11 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 86. South-southwest wind around 7 mph.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 86.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 89.

Thursday night: A slight chance of rain. Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Friday: A slight chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 81.
