Free services and information are available to veterans this week in Placer County at the annual “Stand Down.”
The event is scheduled for Tuesday through Thursday at the Roseville Fairgrounds, 800 All American Blvd. The Stand Down will provide help with veterans benefits, employment counseling, housing referral, legal services and mental health services.
In addition, free services for veterans and their families include haircuts, showers and overnight accomodations, personal care supplies and clothing, meals all three days and pet care. The event begins each day at 8 a.m.
