Sacramento had the second-highest rating among metered markets watching Sunday night's 49ers-Seahawks game, behind only Seattle, according to NBC.

The Sacramento market had a 31.1 rating and a 50 share, meaning nearly one-third of every household with a TV was watching the game and half of all households watching TV were tuned into the game.

Seattle led the country with a 44.8 rating and a 66 share. The San Francisco market was third with 26.8/48.

Despite a one-hour weather delay, the game averaged 20.5 million viewers, making it the most-watched prime time game between two West Coast teams since Nov. 27, 1995, when the defending AFC champion San Diego Chargers hosted the Raiders and averaged 21.6 million viewers.

The Seahawks' 29-3 victory also topped by about 1 million viewers last season's Week 16 Sunday night game between the teams.
