Re "GOP, Boehner vow federal shutdown out of mere spite" (Editorials, Sept. 19): The key word is affordable, and the definition depends on the point of view.
The man standing at the podium claiming what is affordable may have a different opinion of the definition of the word than the people paying the premiums.
Once the cost of the premium is calculated, the fight over Obamacare will get hot and noisy. If Republicans want to make a point, a Republican-dominated state would pass a law requiring drivers at any traffic stop to provide their license, auto insurance proof, and proof of medical insurance.
The pot is going to boil anyway, but a little heat would speed it up.
