Re "Give Youssefi, Miry a chance to revitalize K Street" (Editorials, Sept. 20): Before you urge Sacramento to turn over millions of dollars to these developers, look at Bay Miry's proposal to develop commercial and multi-family buildings abutting Folsom Corporation Yard and the river.
It's better than the hundreds of apartments they had proposed, but the latest plan does not dedicate to the city, nor fund and construct, the required public infrastructure such as sewer lines and streets. It proposes "fire access" by a stairway up a cliff, ending in back yards of single-family homes above. Miry's firm has never made a proposal consistent with the historic district plans and guidelines.
