Re "Many miss the point of pope story" (Marcos Breton, Sept. 22): When Bee columnist Marcos Breton plays amateur theologian in this column, he has to blow chunks of reality off the board before he starts.
"Many" in the press misinterpret the pope, he writes. Mightn't he quote at least one? I haven't seen any skewing of Pope Francis' words nor do I need an OK sports writer or pretty good immigration commentator to understand the pope wants us to not discuss sin as much as to deal "mano a mano" with sinners.
