A Wells Fargo Bank donation of $15,000 to Rebuilding Together Sacramento is being used for home repair work in North Highlands.
Rebuilding Together Sacramento is a nonprofit that revamps the homes of low-income, elderly and disabled residents.
The work in North Highlands is part of a national effort called the Healthy Housing Challenge, a partnership of the national Rebuilding Together organization and the National Center for Healthy Housing. The program aims to fix U.S. homes that are in such disrepair that they threaten the health and safety of the people living in them.
Low-income homeowners who are elderly, disabled or have a family with children who believe they may qualify for comparatively minor repairs can contact Rebuilding Together Sacramento at (916) 455-1880 or via www.rebuildingtogethersacramento.org. Income-based eligibility guidelines are posted online.
