The California Air Resources Board this week announced tens of millions of dollars in funding for state programs designed to improve public health by helping clean up Californias fleet of cars, trucks and buses.
ARB this week voted to move $8 million from other clean vehicle projects into its Truck Loan Assistance Program. Additionally, the Legislature recently made funding available for three clean car, truck and bus programs.
The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project received an influx of $44.5 million to help California consumers purchase plug-in hybrid and zero-emission cars and light trucks.
Funding for this years Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project was increased by $10 million to $15 million, and ARBs Truck Loan Assistance Program received an additional $18 million to help small business fleet owners finance truck upgrades required under the ARBs In-Use Truck and Bus Regulation.
