Annual Founders Day
What: Carmichael’s 104th Founders Day Celebration begins with a pancake breakfast and continues with a classic car show, vendors, music, children’s activities and more.

Book festival at Fairytale Town
What: The ScholarShare Children’s Book Festival will feature readings and presentations by children’s book authors and illustrators, storytelling performances and hands-on literacy activities. Sherri Duskey Rinker, the New York Times bestselling author of “Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site” and “Steam Train, Dream Train,” will headline the event.

Family fun in Folsom
What: A variety of activities will be featured throughout the day at the Folsom Family Expo. There will be face painting, outdoor games, clowns, taekwondo demonstrations, bounce houses and more. Attendees also will receive free admission into the Folsom Zoo for the day.

What: The Sacramento Reptile Show will include a venomous-reptile display featuring more than 45 species from around the world, including king cobras and black mambas. The show at the Sacramento Convention Center will also feature professional reptile breeders and the latest reptile products.
