Re "Blame game as shutdown looms" (Page A1, Sept. 30): My copy of the U.S. Constitution states that the government is established by "We, the people of the United States." The affordable insurance act was passed by the Congress, signed by the president and its constitutionality affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court. House Speaker John Boehner and his cronies should accept that and move on.
What the article did not say is even if the government shuts down Congress, the president and vice president will continue to draw their salaries. It must be nice to tell your employer you won't be working anymore but you still have to pay me. What a country!
