Re "Failure to compromise" (Page A1, Oct. 1): It is clear from U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz's marathon speech on the Senate floor that there is bipartisan effort to amend the most onerous regulations in Obamacare such as the punitive 2 percent tax on medical devices. In addition, there is an amendment that would disallow the Obamacare exception that would continue the employer subsidy to Congress staffers, who no longer will get their coverage through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program but through the Obamacare exchanges.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has refused to allow any healthcare amendments onto the Senate floor. Harry Reid should be expelled from the Senate.
