Re "Shaqramento" (Editorial cartoon, Sept. 25): A lot of people are giggling again about how Shaq once referred to the Kings as the Sacramento Queens. But it suggests that women are lesser than men.
My oldest daughter, an aeronautical engineer, died training as a Navy fighter pilot. She wanted someday to be an astronaut. She was braver than I am. My second daughter lived around the world for 10 years as a professional wind-surfer, then kite-boarder. Braver than I am. A step-daughter, until her recent life-ending traffic accident, was head of marketing and sales for the TV station in San Luis Obispo. A second step-daughter has a degree from Davis in Anthropology, and will be seeking her masters and doctorate in that field. I do not see the humor in Sacramento Queens.
