Re "Summit at White House fails to alter hard lines" (Page A1, Oct. 3): As a delivery driver, I talk to many company employees. I estimate that close to 90 percent are opposed to Obamacare. From what I read in other newspapers, a majority of Americans are opposed to Obamacare.
Many jobs, including mine and those of two of my young children, have been reduced to 29 hours a week. Complaints to our senators and representative are ignored. This is not representative government.
So when Republicans in Congress say shut it down maybe this is the only way to have the opinion of the people noticed.
The same is true in California state government regarding the Delta tunnels and high-speed train to nowhere. Shut down the state as well.
