Re "Bare-knuckle Reid is Dems' major force" (Page A1, Oct. 3): What is wrong with our media that promotes this kind of take-no-prisoner approach?
We elected a president to serve all the people, which means he should do what is good for the country, not his legacy, his ego or his party. We elected him to be a reasonable representative of the people. All the people, but he continually represents only one view.
We elected him to sit down and talk to the other side, but he only invites them to sit down to force them to do his bidding. He is supposed to be a negotiator, but when he says he refuses to negotiate, that leave no room for compromise. It reminds me of his first election when in the White House he told Sen. John McCain, we won, get over it.
