Re "Immigration holds restricted" (Capitol & California, Oct. 6): As the state Legislature and the governor continue to live on some other planet, this is priceless. As a second-generation Californian, it seems that such selection of what laws may be enforced is downright irresponsible. Allowing undocumented attorneys to be licensed is an oxymoron at best. As it is, there are too many attorneys at it is. What's next? Doctors? Nurses? What is the message?
Lawmakers just do not care about responsible citizens, except as a revenue source. The driver's license law does make some sense, but that will not guarantee insurance or a road-legal vehicle. Why are the responsible being punished in this state?
