Re "Obamacare is costly disaster" (Letters, Oct. 7): The nonprofit I work for got our 2014 renewal from Kaiser, and our premiums went down nearly 5 percent. Not only that, under the Affordable Care Act's "gold" plan, our employees' copay is reduced while their benefits improve. The letter writer's premiums that shot up likely had a catastrophic plan. If that's all he could afford, he can get real coverage through California's health exchange and may even end up paying less than he did previously.
Perhaps The Bee could provide a response to letter writers who don't know how the ACA can help them, and corrections to those who willfully or ignorantly spread misinformation.
