Re "GOP is deluded on potential for default" (Editorials, Oct. 10): Thank you for your very clear explanation of the dangers to our country if the Congress does not raise the debt limit so we can pay our bills.
I would like to forward your explanation to Rep. Ted Yoho, Republican of Florida, so that he may understand the full ramifications of us not paying the nations debt. In an article this week, he stated that while "everybody talks about how destabilizing" failure to pay our debts will be, in his business he just told creditors, "We're going to pay you. We're just not going to pay you today."
Can you imagine telling your creditors that? It is no wonder that our country is about to go over the brink especially when dummies like this get elected to Congress. Florida should make certain all their elected officials have a sixth-grade education. -- Donald Bunn, Sacramento
