Re "About time for comment change" (Letters, Forum, Oct. 13): Good to see The Bee considering changing the commenting function of your articles. I would support only allowing comments from real people with real names, verified.
The Bee comments are currently riddled with anonymous commenters, free to spew hateful and boorish words. This drowns out useful and civil discussion. By "outing" these bullies, perhaps the comments section will be safe to read, once again. Currently, I resist reading The Bee online, so as to avoid being drawn in by the vitriol.
