Trees and clouds are reflected in the calm water of Cache Creek on Sept. 25. The Judge Davis Trail, 10.6 miles long, meanders downhill to the creek. Overall, the terrain is primarily open space, so it gets hot in the summer. However, there are some spectacular, gnarled manzanita bushes amid the sage and greasewood. You’ll also hit several copses of blue oaks.
