Warm days and cool nights expected to continue in Sacramento region

A dry and mild weather pattern being enjoyed this week is expected to continue through the weekend in the Sacramento region.

A ridge of high pressure near the West Coast won’t produce any showers, but it will bring warm daytime highs and cool nights in the Sacramento area, according to the National Weather Service. Today’s high is expected to be near 81 degrees in Sacramento, which is above normal for mid-October.

Temperatures in the 80s and clear skies are forecast all the way through Wednesday in Sacramento. The detailed forecast from the NWS for the Sacramento region:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 81. Light and variable wind.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 47. Light and variable wind.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday night: Clear, with a low around 48.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 82.

Sunday night: Clear, with a low around 48.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 81.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.
