Re "Petulant Legislature agonizes even in victory" (Viewpoints, Oct. 19): I actually agree with 90 percent of Ben Boychuk's op-ed. However, in his first four paragraphs, he shows he is uninformed, and guilty many things he accuses others of.
He lumps in the state exchanges with the dismal performance of the federal exchange, ignoring the great success of California, Oregon and other states at signing up huge numbers of people under the Affordable Care Act. He also says the shutdown had minimal effect. Why? Because it didn't affect him. How about a $24 billion cost-just for starters?
