It’s a winner

What: Madelene Silva-Sciortino, 9, found a winning combination using sweet potato in her Love Shishkebab, which took honors in California Food Literacy Center’s Kids’ Recipe Contest. The dish was featured at Ten22 at the restaurant’s fourth anniversary party.

The Literacy Center focused its recipe contest on sweet potatoes. You can find Madelene’s recipe on the center’s website, where the remaining winning recipes will also be posted.
