Kings defeat Clippers 110-100 in preseason finale

LOS ANGELES – Isaiah Thomas scored 18 of his 27 points in the first half to help the Kings overcome a 14-point deficit and defeat the Los Angeles Clippers, 110-100, in the preseason finale for both teams at Staples Center. Thomas came off the bench to lead all scorers. DeMarcus Cousins overcame three first-quarter fouls to add 20 points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes. Marcus Thornton had his best preseason game with 17 points. Greivis Vasquez went scoreless but had 12 assists and no turnovers after six turnovers in Wednesday’s win over Golden State. Chris Paul led the Clippers (5-3) with 23 points. Jamal Crawford had 17 points off the bench. The Kings (5-2) open the regular season next Wednesday when they host the Denver Nuggets at Sleep Train Arena.
