Beverly Vatananugulkit and Betty Chen led the UC Davis women's golf team to 10th place after Friday's first round of the Stanford Intercollegiate, UCD reported on its athletics website.
Vatananugulkit is tied for 11th at 1-under-par 70, while Chen, who captured last weekend's Hoosier Invitational at Indiana, is tied for 16th at 71.
The 38th-ranked Aggies fired a collective 9-over 293 in the 16-team tournament featuring many of the country's top programs.
