Last week’s cartoon caption contest offered readers the opportunity to comment on California’s $68 billion high-speed rail project.

Lynn Schuff of Rancho Cordova came up with the winning caption from more than 100 entries and held off a late surge in voting Friday morning. Results of our online voting can be found at www.sacbee.com/opinion.

Lynn will receive a signed color print of Steve Greenberg’s cartoon with the winning caption.

If you didn’t win this time, we’ll have another contest in about four weeks to test your talent and wit in writing a caption for an editorial cartoon.
