Amtrak officials say a person was struck and killed by a Capitol Corridor train tonight at its station in Davis.
Spokeswoman Kimberly Woods said the fatality took place at 7:07 p.m. Sunday as the eastbound train was pulling into downtown Davis.
None of the 314 passenger or any crew members were injured, Woods said.
Woods described the person who was killed as a "trespasser," because the tracks are considered private property.
She did not know if the death was a suicide.
The name and other identifying information on the person who was killed were not immediately available.
