For the second time this season, Sacramento State junior quarterback Garrett Safron has been named the Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Safron amassed a school-record 505 yards of total offense in the Hornets' 51-48 overtime loss to Montana on Saturday at Hornet Stadium.

Safron completed 41 of 58 passes for 412 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. His 41 completions and 412 passing yards were also single-game school records.

His last touchdown pass, a five-yarder to Cole Hikutini came with 23 seconds remaining in regulation and tied the game at 45-45.

Safron received the same honor earlier in the season for his performance in a 37-21 win at Northern Colorado.
