Re "Gunman's rampage puts LAX in chaos" (Page A1, Nov. 2): Muslims and Islam need equal treatment. There was no reference, whatsoever in the media, to the religion or ethnicity of Paul Anthony Ciancia who committed the terrorist act at Los Angeles International Airport last Friday morning. All what was mentioned about him was that he is 23-years-old, a New Jersey native who lives in Los Angeles.
Just imagine if the terrorist happened to be a Muslim! The immediate focus would have been on defaming Islam and Muslims. Muslims would have been branded guilty by association. There are many crazy people in every faith and their religion must not be connected with the acts of such people.
