Veterans can have a free meal at On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina restaurants Monday.
On the Border is humbled to say, thank you to those who have served our country, said Steve Clark, CEO for On the Border. On this day of honor and respect, we are proud to serve them at all On the Border restaurants in the U.S.
Veterans and active duty military personnel can pick from 150 dinner combinations from On the Borders Create Your Own Combo menu.
To receive the free meal, guests will need to provide proof of military service, which would include U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, US Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, current leave and earnings statement, veterans organization card, DD214, military citation or commendation.
On the Border will also sponsor a give-back event on Veterans Day at participating locations that will benefit Carry the Load, a non-profit organization that helps and honors fallen heroes, veterans, active duty military, firefighters, law enforcement and rescue personnel, and their families. The restaurant chain will donate 15 percent of all eligible sales on Veterans Day from guests who bring in a Carry the Load flier.
There are three On the Border restaurants in the Sacramento area: 9164 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, 3521 Truxel Road, Sacramento, and 1220 Galleria Blvd. Roseville.
