Re "Delta project has many unanswered questions" (Viewpoints, Nov. 6): The biggest unanswered question for those of us who live and work in the area is "What about us?"
We aren't saying the Twin Tunnels will cause Folsom Lake to go dry once every 10 years; we know climate change is making us vulnerable. But the BDCP just takes care of Central and Southern California's water needs.
There is no mention in the tunnel plan of Folsom going dead pool, or the hundreds of thousands of Northern Californians who rely on this water to live and work. Upwards of $25 billion could be spent, with no resolution for this major water resource.
Picture it: once every 10 years, we can't draw water out of Folsom Lake for four months at a time. Who would want to live here, start a business here, come here for vacation? It would be an economic disaster.
