UC Davis tops Sac State in men's soccer

Matt Wiesenfarth scored for the visiting UC Davis men's soccer team in a 1-0 victory over Sacramento State on Saturday, UCD reported.

The Aggies (8-8-3, 4-4-2 Big West) will host UC Riverside in the first round of the conference tournament on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

The Hornets ended the season at 3-11-4 and 1-8-1.


• Katie Ott of the UC Davis women's cross country team finished 12th in the Doc Adams Open at the Putah Creek Reserve Course, according to UCD's athletics website. Ott had a time of 22 minutes, 3 seconds in the 6-kilometer race. Patrick Fitzgerald finished 20th to pace the UCD men on the 8K course.

• North Dakota swept visiting Sac State 25-23, 25-17, 25-19 in a Big Sky Conference volleyball match, Sac State reported. The Hornets fell to 13-13 overall and 8-7 in the Big Sky.

• Marissa Brown, Hilary Hunt, Hilvy Cheung and Haley Porter combined for eight victories, leading the visiting UC Davis women's swimming and diving team (4-0) to a 151-149 victory over Nevada (2-1), according to UCD's athletics website.
